Three Teachers from WZBC have been Approved for Three Social Science Research Projects by the Ministry of Education

On August 3, the Department of Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education announced and publicized the review results of the 2021 general humanities and social science research projects of the Ministry of Education. According to statistics, a total of 2,754 projects from 692 colleges and universities across the country were selected. Among them, WZBC has a total of 3 teachers selected for the project, ranking 225th, surpassing many public universities.


According to the website of the Ministry of Education, the review results of the general humanities and social science research projects of the Ministry of Education in 2021 include: planning funds, youth funds, and self-financing projects totaling 2362; 152 projects in western and border areas; 15 projects in Xinjiang; 1 project in Tibet; 15 special research projects on the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics; 209 special research projects on college counselors. The publicity time is August 3-August 9, 2021.

The three projects selected by WZBC are: “On the English Renderings of Tian Gong Kai Wu: From the Perspective of Translator Behavior Criticism” (Youth Fund Project) by Teacher Lin Zonghao; “Research on the Theory and Practice of New Era Socialist National Image Design Art with Chinese Characteristics by Professor Ma Zhiqiang (Planning Fund Project); Dr. Huang Weilun’s “Research on the Promotion of Strategic Emerging Industry Agglomeration in China” (Planning Fund Project).


According to statistics, among the 4 project review and publicity results of planning funds, youth funds, self-financing projects, western and border areas projects, Xinjiang projects, and Tibet projects, Xiamen University has 35 projects, making it the university with the most selected projects. Central China Normal University was selected for 30; both Southwestern University and Southwestern University of Finance and Economics were selected for 26; universities were selected for 20 or more projects include Shandong University, Shanxi University of Finance and Economics, Sun Yat-sen University, Sichuan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Jiangnan University, Beijing Normal University, Sichuan Normal University, Fudan University.
